Supporting Child Refugees - Rant

At the very start of one’s life everyone should be given the chance to pave their own future to the utmost best, using abilities and talents that can develop in a thriving country such as the UK. This would much benefit the UK as they would have a vast multi-talented society to help continue the immense enhanced development of the country. The UK is a first world country that has the competence to help the progress of skill and capabilities which can help mould new generation of kids to inevitably being contributing members of our community. Children need a safe place of refuge not just to become remarkable adults in the future but to also have a childhood that can positively be remembered. Children at the end of the day should have a right to be children – not frightened, confused or miserable. I believe you should support child refugees if you are able to be a voice for vulnerable children, that have voices but ultimately cannot be heard.  We should all want all ch

Being Comfortable

Comfortable:  physically and mentally relaxed and free from constraint. I've once read that being comfortable equates to you going down a hill. It's true, going down the stairs is much easier and comfortable than going up the stairs. Stairs:  a set of steps leading from one floor of a building to another I've realised that I should start getting comfortable with being uncomfortable - that's the only way progression will take place. Progression:  the process of developing or moving gradually towards a more advanced state. That will be difficult if you're prone to laziness - I know I can do more but I just don't. What is the point of an outcome that has no sincere effort in it. Effort:  a vigorous or determined attempt. Life is exhausting but with a purpose it's easier to continue. Life:  the existence between the birth and death of a living thing

ATM

A Perspective:      "Being a celebrity is a job, they pamper themselves and get conditioned to smile in front of the fans and act kindly in front of everyone. Think about how as an employee, you have no other choice but to act obedient and submissive towards your superior, that's the same logic that applies between celebrities and fans. They treat you well only because you're the reason they get to lay food on the table."  - Anoynymous        "500 years ago, entertainment was the lowliest profession. Today, entertainers teach society its morals and ethics. Humanity regressing." - Ahmed Dimashqee   ATM: an electronic banking machine that dispenses cash.     In this generation, as well as previous generations there are group of people that can be referred to as ATMs. Essentially what they do is give money. Giving money is not necessarily a bad thing depending on the situ ation ; it may be given with love an

What's up?

I wonder if anyone still reads this? Hello fellow human beans It's funny how I made this as I was a kid, cute even but I've grown up a bit and this seems really cringe worthy now that I look at it. If possible maybe I could continue this with a different format and/or theme. I haven't written in a while so I may be rusty in the beginning (I'm reading over this realising how short and unflowy my sentences are) anyway I'd love to continue writing some posts to get my brain working again. Since I'm a lazy human and my timetable is ... unstable, not really sure when I'll be vamping up this site; So watch this space Joshna Yasmin Ali

Fajr ..

You can go to the gym, lift as many weights as you can, but if you can't bench press your blanket at Fajr then it doesn't mean anything. One of the main prayers many of us neglect. productivemuslim.com/how-to-wake-up-for-fajr-part-1/ Abu Hurairah reported: Muhammad said, "No Salat is more burdensome to the hypocrites than the Fajr (dawn) prayer and the Isha (night) prayer; and if they knew their merits, they would come to them even if they had to crawl to do so. What Are You Striving for: Dunya or Akhirah?

Many of us seem to spend an incredible amount of time and energy chasing the dream job. Afterall , a bigger paycheck often translates into a better car, a bigger house and a higher worldly social status. But we are warned about this in The Qur’an : “Rivalry in worldly increase distracts you (from the remembrance of Allah), till you come to the graves” (102: 1-2). “Your wealth and your children are but a trial, and Allah has with Him a great reward.” (64:15). Ever think of the results of all of your worldy efforts? ”It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof.” (79:46) Lavish homes and fancy vacations are temporary worldy fixes whereas dedicating time and effort into something that lasts an eternity make more sense, doesn’t it? Have you ever stopped for a minute and considered building a house for yourself in Jannah ? ”Allah will build house in Jannah for whoever is dilige
